Do You Know A Hypocrite?

I Like Your Christ, But Not Your Christians

I think we’d be surprised to know how many people in this world actually like the person of Jesus Christ, but aren’t keen on becoming a Christian. Sound familiar?

Be kindly affectioned one to another with ; in honour preferring one another. Romans 12:10.

We must not allow ourselves to become self-absorbed and so forget the claims of God and humanity upon us…. God would have us more kind, more lovable, less critical and suspicious. O that we all might have the Spirit of Christ, and know how to deal with our brethren and neighbors!

We must forget self in loving service for others…. We may not remember some act of kindness which we do, it may fade from our memory; but eternity will bring out in all its brightness every act done for the of souls, every word spoken for the comfort of God’s children; and these deeds done for Christ’s sake will be a part of our joy through all eternity.

When we pursue toward our brethren any course save that of kindness and courtesy, we pursue an unchristian course. We should manifest courtesy at , in the church, and in our intercourse with all men. But especially we should manifest compassion and respect for those who are giving their lives to the cause of God. We should exercise that precious love that suffereth long and is kind; that envieth not, that vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, does not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own, is not easily provoked and that which is not evil.

Where Jesus reigns in the heart, there will be sweet love, and we shall be tender and true to one another.

You should give no occasion for faultfinding. A moment’s petulance, a single gruff answer, the want of Christian politeness and courtesy in some small matter, may result in the loss of friends, in the loss of influence.

God would have you appear at your best under all circumstances–in the presence of those who are inferior to you as well as in the presence of equals and superiors. We are to be followers of Christ at all times, seeking His honor, seeking to rightly represent Him in every way.

Let self drop out of sight, and let Jesus appear as the One altogether lovely.

We should seek to live for His glory alone, not that men may praise us.

  1. Hey would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with?

I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m having
a hard time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design seems different
then most blogs and I’m looking for something
unique. P.S Apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!

  2. First of all I would like to say wonderful blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you
do not mind. I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your head before writing.

I’ve had trouble clearing my mind in getting my ideas out there.

I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to
be wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or tips?
    Many thanks!

  3. More of Him and less of me. This statement is what we all should strive toward, as you alluded to in your last quote. Great post and such a good reminder!

  5. I agree with the message. However acting this out is a far trickyer matter. The large majority of “Christians” are cultural christians, not only that but the number one voice for the Christian community to the world is the Roman Catholic church, and they create more problems than the solve. However I think the bigest problem and the only one we need to fix is the way we as Christians love each other. I think that Jesus new what he was talking about when he said that this was how the world would know we are from him.

  6. Excellent article, I enjoyed the read so I am going to copy paste it over to my wordpress blog at
I know very little about computers so being I don’t see a reblog button for wordpress this is the only way I know how to do it.

  7. That is why I’m a follower of Jesus Christ, And a child of God through my Savior Jesus Christ.
    Matthew 4:19, Matthew 9:9, Matthew 16:24,
    Mark 8:34
    Luke 18:22
    John 12:26
Being a follower of Jesus Christ, means being filled with His love and His Spirit. It means trying to walk like He walked. And that was with love. But I am simply a Christian. I belong to the Wesleyan church, But my true denomination is simply Jesus Christ. Christian is a tittle, Christianity is a way of life. And Christ is that way. And without love, there is no sign of Jesus Christ.

  8. The problem becomes two fold one the Church teaches the Woman is at fault for the sins of man which is a lied and two they do not teach you that the Sirit of God dwells in You. Gen. 1:2 and came across the face of the dark, your face, He created male and female.

    • If you do not understand that the Spirit of God lives in you and we mimic the Spirit of Christ you have not idea who God is in the Garden you are relying on man to tell you how you should live your life instead of listening to the indwelling of the Holy Spirit within all of us.   I quit going to the altars of man 14 yrs and I do not regret it.   Look at Rev.22 : 12.   Declaring man’s named religion will keep you in darkness and you will judge yourself throughout your life on mimicking mans word.   I do not mimic man’s religions or his words.   Religions follow the norms of society to keep that money and attendance flowing in.   Tying your salvation and faith to money.   But if you want to be yoked to a named religion far be it from me to stop you.   I just told you the Truth.   Read your Bible nowhere in there does it state Christ or God created a religion created by man.
