The God of and the god of money are irreconcilably opposed.

There is to be no compromise with the powers of darkness. Individually we must take our stand. If we are not at war with the prince of darkness, the serpent, his folds encircle us and all our powers and his sting will be in our hearts.

All who range themselves under the blood-stained banner of the Jesus will henceforth count Satan as a deadly enemy, and will in God’s oppose him. They will take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

Mammon is no where close to money. If you look at in the Gospel of Luke. Christ is not talking about money. You have to remember that the year was 33 AD the common person did not have money they had the produce of the land. Look at the story of the Rich man and Lazarus perhaps that will help you. Christ was talking about idols that you think will take care of you. It is not wrong to be rich. But the rich man did not feed Lazarus his food. We are to take care of the poor, orphaned and the widow that has never changed. If Christ was talking about money He would have said so. You have to know the history and the times that Christ lived in . They were still under the Mosaic Law as was the disciples.
