It Won’t Be Long

Amid trials and tribulations, the words of our Lord resound with a clarion call, “I am coming soon.” This promise is a message of hope, reminding us that our struggles are temporal, and the eternal glory awaits those who persevere. As believers, we are called to hold fast to our faith, and the precious crown bestowed upon us through the grace of our Saviour.
The crown represents our salvation, our victory in Christ, and the rewards that await us in heaven. It is a symbol of our identity as children of God, chosen and set apart for His glory. However, the journey is fraught with challenges, and there are forces at play that seek to derail us from our path. The enemy prowls like a roaring lion, looking for whom he may devour. Therefore, we must be vigilant, steadfast in our faith, and anchored in the Word of God.
To hold on to what we have, means to cling to our faith with unwavering resolve. It means to stand firm against the tide of temptation, to resist the allure of worldly pleasures, and to endure hardships with patience and grace. It is a call to remain faithful to the teachings of Christ, to live a life that is pleasing to Him, and to be a beacon of light in a darkened world.
Today, as we await Christ’s return, we must remember that our crown is not just a future reward but a present reality. It is a reminder of the victory we have in Christ, a victory that empowers us to overcome the world. So, let us hold on to what we have, for in doing so, we secure our crown and ensure that no one can take it away.
“I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown.” (Revelation 3:11)
Let’s Pray
Yahweh, I don’t know when You’re returning, so prepare me right now. Father help my mindset to be alert and my life to be restrained and disciplined. Teach me to arm myself with faith and love. Help me to process every decision through the lens of salvation. By Your grace, God I want to build a personal culture that’s vigilant, attentive and filled with gratitude and my spiritual senses sharpened. Lord, I refuse to lay down and let life pass me by. I’ll take advantage of every opportunity to expand Your Kingdom. You’ve appointed me to live out Your purposes. I will do it and I’ll also encourage others to do it as well. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Opinions

God’s Word calls us into a posture of acceptance and understanding within the Christian community, especially concerning “opinions”. This refers to issues where the Bible does not provide direct commands or prohibitions—areas where believers are free to hold differing viewpoints. These may include dietary habits, what we wear, or other practices not central to salvation.
Paul’s instruction to not quarrel over opinions, is a reminder that our unity in Christ transcends individual differences in non-essential beliefs. The early church, like ours today, was diverse, with members coming from various backgrounds and holding varying convictions on disputable matters. Paul emphasizes that such diversity should not lead to division but rather be approached with love and respect.
Welcoming those weak in faith doesn’t mean we dilute the truth or compromise essential doctrines. Instead, it means we recognize the journey of faith is different for each person, and we’re called to support one another in love, without causing disputes over non-essential issues.
Today, as we consider how we approach disputable matters within your faith community. Ask yourself this question, are you contributing to unity or division? Let’s strive to create an environment where all can grow in faith, rooted in the essential truth of the Gospel where we can keep our opinions while extending grace and understanding in areas of personal conviction.
As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. (Romans 14:1)
 
Let’s Pray
Yahweh, we ask for your help to set aside our differences that have no salvation value and look to the greater cause, the cause of Christ. Father, we ask that you would help us to truly live a life of love. We know that this is only possible through the power of your Spirit, so we pray for your Spirit to move across our land in fresh ways. God, turn your people back to you. Draw others to come to know you. We ask for your ability to quickly forgive hurts, for a renewed heart of compassion, for love and faithfulness to be evident in every decision and action. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

No Matter The Season, God Will Bring You Through

On my radio show ‘Prayer On Drive’, I receive requests from many individuals who are in difficult seasons of their lives. Things just aren’t going their way, or they’re not where they want to be in life. In these times, it’s tempting to let discouragement and doubt come in and take away the peace and excitement you once had.
If you’re in one of those seasons right now, where you are struggling to truly be happy, this is not the way God wants you to live. He tells us in scripture that even in the difficult times, He is with us. Even when you can’t see a way out, He will make a way through the season. Even when things don’t turn out the way you planned, He has a plan to turn things around and get you through.
Today, don’t get upset or discouraged about your current situation. Instead, be determined to walk through it to victory. Declare by faith that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Declare by faith that you will rise higher and become stronger. Keep standing, keep believing and keep hoping, because God has a bright future in store for you, and you will get through! Hallelujah!
“Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for You are close beside me. Your rod and Your staff protect and comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4)
 
Let’s Pray
Yahweh, I humbly come to You today giving You this season in my life. Father, I ask for Your peace in the midst of life’s storms.  Thank You for the promise that I will get through. God, give me Your strength to stand strong, knowing that with You, I will walk through every adversity the enemy has in store for me. I claim victory today, in Jesus’ Name! Amen.

Seed

In this season of change and harvest, we are reminded of the power of the seed and the season. Sometimes in this season, we don’t see how God’s promises are going to come to pass. It may seem like there are so many obstacles to overcome. But God’s Word is like a seed. When it’s planted in our hearts, and we water it by thinking the right thoughts and expecting good things, that little seed begins to grow into something much, much greater.
In the book of Mark, we are told that God’s Word is like a tiny mustard seed. When it is sown, it is less than all the other seeds, one of the smallest. But when it grows up, it becomes greater than all. Notice it goes from being less than all, to being greater than all. Are you feeling less than today? Are you in an overwhelming situation, maybe in your health, finances or relationships? Do you see God’s promises as small, compared to what you’re facing?
Today, don’t sit back and think, “man, it’s never going to get any better. It’s never going to change.” Instead, sow the Word by speaking it over your life every single day. Water that seed by staying in faith, because the seed of the Word has supernatural power in it. It can change your thinking, your emotions and your circumstances. It will grow and flourish, and you will see God’s promises come to pass all the days of your life!
“But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.” (Luke 8:15)
 
Let’s Pray
Yahweh, today I will sow Your Word in my heart and mind! Father, thank You that it will not return void, but it will accomplish what it was sent forth to do! God, change my circumstances from less than, to more than, like the mustard seed. Lord, thank You for giving me every good and perfect gift. I bless Your Holy Name today and always. In Christ’s Name! Amen.

A New Season

Getting something new is always exciting. Can you remember the time when you first had a big dream? Maybe you were determined to excel in your career, or as a parent, or maybe you were focused on deepening your walk with the Lord.
You probably started out with enthusiasm, but maybe things got a little difficult, or didn’t happen as quickly as you would have liked. Oftentimes, when things don’t go as planned, people decide, “I’m just going to settle here. It’s not exactly what I wanted, but at least it’s good enough.” In this new season, recognise that you were made for more than “good enough.” You were made to increase, to excel, to grow and stretch.
Today, why don’t you take a step of faith, and embrace the new life God came to give you? Not only does Christ offer new life in eternity, but He offers new life here on earth, with new dreams and visions. Why don’t you pick up those dreams and be determined to see them through? It’s a new day, and He is making everything new in your life! Hallelujah!

Yahweh, thank You for this new day. Father, thank You for the opportunity to start again. I will press forward and keep believing for the dreams, visions and desires You’ve placed in my heart. A New Season

Comfort Me So I Can Comfort Others

In today’s verse, we are reminded of the beautiful cycle of comfort that flows from the heart of God. He is described as the “Father of mercies” and the “God of all comfort”. His compassionate nature is the wellspring from which comfort flows abundantly.

Scripture reminds us that God’s comfort is not merely for our personal experience but has a greater purpose to equip us to comfort others. We are comforted in our tribulations so that we may extend that same comfort to others who are struggling.

Think of when God’s comforting presence enveloped you in moments of despair or uncertainty. Those experiences were not just for your benefit; they were meant to equip you to be a source of comfort to others.

As recipients of God’s comfort, we are entrusted with a sacred mission. We are called to be conduits of His comfort, bringing peace, hope, and encouragement to those around us who are facing their trials.

Today, we discover that God’s comfort multiplies through us. As we extend His love and comfort to others, we become instruments of His grace, and His comfort continues to flow, touching lives, and bringing healing to wounded souls. We need to embrace our role as comforters, knowing that as we share the comfort we’ve received, we participate in God’s beautiful plan of extending His love and compassion to a hurting world.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,  who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).

Yahweh, in times of trouble and sorrow, I turn to you for comfort. Father, your love and presence bring peace to my heart. Wrap your loving arms around me and grant me the strength to endure. God, help me to trust in your divine plan and find solace in your unwavering care. Help me to also pass on your comfort to others, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Will Move Your Boss

Do you hate going to work because your boss is a tyrant? Some people are upset because their boss is really against them. Is he/she always trying to make you look bad and never give you any kind of recognition? The truth is that some bosses are just jealous and evil. In cases like this, our job is to give them to God and keep being the best – work unto God. There may be several promotions that you should have received but because of this unfair boss, you were passed over.
One day the CEO of your corporation may be in town, or passing through your department, and see your good work and be impressed. One day because of your prayers, good work and God-like attitude, God might move your boss and make you the boss, or promote you or give you the dream job. Today, instead of working for the unfair boss, work unto God and the tables will turn in your favour. Hallelujah!
Today remember, increase and promotion comes from the Lord. When you stay faithful and keep a right positive attitude, that’s when God will increase you and promote you. One touch of His favour and things will totally turn around! Keep abiding. Keep being faithful. Stay on that high road. God will make your wrongs right and promote you in your due season!
“For exaltation (promotion) comes neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the Judge: He puts down one, and exalts another.” (Psalm 75:6-7)

Yahweh, today I humbly submit myself to You because You are good and faithful. Father, I will work and live according to Your Word, because I love You and desire to honour You. God, I receive Your mercy and grace today, so I can live a life pleasing to You, in Jesus’ Name! Amen.

Righteous Hatred

In this world that often promotes tolerance and acceptance of all things, the idea of hatred can seem negative or unloving. However, the hatred that Psalm 97 speaks of, is not directed towards people but towards evil itself. It is a passionate rejection of sin, injustice, and everything that stands in opposition to the character of God.
To hate evil as the Lord commands, is to have a deep-seated aversion to anything that dishonours God. It means to despise wickedness, not in a way that leads to bitterness or anger towards individuals, but in a way that fuels our pursuit of holiness and righteousness. This hatred is born out of love for the Lord and a desire to see His will done on earth.
As followers of Christ, we are called to be lights in a dark world, to stand against the tide of moral compromise. Hating evil is an integral part of this calling. It is about having the courage to say ‘no’ to the things that grieve the heart of God and ‘yes’ to the things that please Him.
Today, let’s examine our hearts and ask God to help us cultivate a righteous hatred for evil. May our love for the Lord be so strong that it naturally leads us to despise all that is contrary to His goodness and truth. In doing so, we align ourselves more closely with His heart and become more effective agents of His kingdom.
 
Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for He guards the lives of His faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. (Psalm 97:10)
 
Let’s Pray
Yahweh, help transform my thoughts so I can see the world through Your eyes. Father, I want to hate the things that break Your heart. God give me righteous hatred so I will hate sin and evil and love what you love. Today I am determined to cling to what is good in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Suffering And Comfort

In 2 Corinthians, Paul articulates a truth about the Christian life: it involves suffering and comfort – both being deeply connected through Christ. Just as believers are united with Christ in His sufferings, they share abundantly in His comfort also. This isn’t a promise that life will be free of hardship, but rather, that in every hardship, God’s comfort will be abundantly available.
In the scripture, the concept of suffering followed by divine comfort underscores a significant aspect of Christian endurance and faith. It reminds us that our trials are not meaningless; they are part of a larger narrative of redemption and transformation. Through suffering, our character is refined, our faith is strengthened, and our dependence on God is deepened.
This divine comfort is not merely a soothing pat on the back but a powerful strengthening of the spirit within us. It enables us to face trials with courage and to comfort others with the comfort we have received from God. Each experience of suffering and subsequent relief equips us to minister to others facing similar trials, creating a community that mirrors the empathy and love of Christ.
Today let us embrace the Christian’s dual inheritance of suffering and comfort in Christ, knowing that as we are conformed to His image through suffering, we are also enveloped in His boundless grace and comfort, enabling us not only to endure but to thrive and help others do the same.
For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. (2 Corinthians 1:5)
 
Let’s Pray
Yahweh, life can sometimes feel like a tough journey with many challenges. When I look back at my journey, it didn’t always go the way I wanted. In those hard times, when things seemed never-ending, I found comfort in You. That was the best kind of comfort. Lord, I pray that people who are going through difficult times right now or who feel like they’re stuck in a dark and endless tunnel can also find a safe place like I did. Please have mercy on them. Please strengthen them to walk a little further to You.
In Christ’s name, Amen.

His Timing

His Timing
In today’s verse, Peter reminds us that God’s perception of time vastly differs from ours. While we measure time in days and years, God sees all of time at once. This verse highlights the eternal nature of God and His sovereignty over time.
As finite beings, we often struggle with impatience and a desire for immediate results. We may become discouraged when prayers seem unanswered, or we do not see the fulfilment of God’s promises in our timing. However, God’s perspective is eternal, and His timing is always perfect.
Understanding God’s timeless perspective can bring comfort and reassurance in times of waiting. It reminds us that God’s plans are not bound by our limited understanding of time. He is always at work, orchestrating events according to His perfect will and timing.
Today as we meditate on the text, we need to trust in God’s timing and His perfect plan for our lives. Let’s surrender our desires for instant gratification and instead rest in the knowledge that God’s timing is always right. His promises are sure, and He is faithful to fulfil them in His time.
But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (2 Peter 3:8)
Let’s Pray
Yahweh, thank you for being a God of perfect timing. Father, I trust that your plans for me are far greater than I could ever imagine, and I surrender my life and my timing to you. Remind me throughout the day to trust in your timing and to have faith that everything will happen according to your plan. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Make Room For Christ

The Inn, bustling and overcrowded, had no room for Mary and Joseph, leading to the Saviour’s birth in a manger. This scenario reflects a common dilemma in our spiritual journey. Our lives, often filled to the brim with daily tasks, ambitions, and distractions, can leave little room for the quiet, unassuming presence of Jesus.
Today’s passage challenges us to reconsider our priorities and values. Are we so consumed by the temporal and material aspects of our existence that we neglect the spiritual? The birth of Jesus in such modest surroundings, reminds us that His coming doesn’t demand splendour but seeks a humble, welcoming heart.
Today, we’re invited to create a sanctuary in our lives for Christ, much like the manger that cradled Him. It’s in the quiet moments of prayer, in the acts of kindness and in the times of reflection and surrender, that we make room for Him. May our hearts be the manger where Jesus finds His home, and through us, may His love and grace be evident to the world.
While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. (Luke 2:6-7)
Let’s Pray
Yahweh, Your love, Your grace, Your mercy astounds me. Father, the lengths You go to make Yourself known to me is staggering. Teach me the necessity of reciprocating that relationship to make room for You in my heart, making time to seek You first. In Christ name, Amen.

Fishers of Men

We as Christians have the same calling, and that’s to be disciples. Jesus says, “Follow me,” and “make disciples.” He calls us to take the good news of God’s salvation to the ends of the earth. God’s great purpose, as the last book of the Bible indicates, is that people from every tribe, nation, people, and language will one day praise Him.

We are often tempted to exempt ourselves from God’s great plan by saying, “I’m not called to be a missionary” as if that excuses us from being fishers of people. We are willing to claim God’s promise of abundant life but not His promise to become a witness who makes disciples.

Today, perhaps God has given you a heart for a ministry near your home that blesses your neighbours. Fantastic! But millions around the world do not follow Jesus. Whether you’re a child, a young person, or an adult, will you ask God if He is calling you to be a missionary? We must give our all to enable people around the world to know God. He has given us these radical promises: “All authority … has been given to me.” “I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Let’s be radically occupied with ways to make His glory known at home and around the world.

“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” (Matthew 4:19)

Yahweh, you never wavered from your calling to bring salvation to the whole world. Father help me to be faithful as I hear your call to be a fisher of men, in Jesus’s name, Amen.

You’re Never Alone

Jesus gave us a powerful assurance, “And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” These words resound through the ages, reminding us that God’s presence is an eternal reality in our lives.
In our journey of faith, we encounter moments of joy and moments of challenge, times of clarity and times of uncertainty. Yet, amidst it all, there is a constant, unwavering truth God is with us, always.
No matter where we go or what circumstances we face, His presence is our comfort and strength. He walks us through the valleys and rejoices with us on the mountaintops. His presence is not bound by time or location; it transcends all boundaries.
As we navigate the complexities of life, we can draw solace from these words of Jesus. His abiding presence is our anchor in the storms, our guide through the wilderness, and our source of hope in every season.
Today, in moments of solitude and amidst the busyness of life, let us take a moment to acknowledge His presence. For in the assurance of His constant companionship, we find courage, peace, and the unshakable confidence that we are never alone.
 
“Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)
 
Let’s Pray
Yahweh, I feel lonely. I’m not sure where this feeling is coming from. Father sometimes I have tried to share my feelings with friends, but I feel like they don’t see or hear me. I have many great things happening in my life. You give me so many wonderful blessings and joys. God, please hold me in Your loving arms. Help me to remember I am not alone and that You are always with me. Help me to shine Your love and light in all my words and actions. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

In The Beginning

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)
These two verses from Genesis and John are profound in their simplicity and depth, setting the stage for the grand narrative of Scripture.
Genesis 1:1 introduces us to the beginning of time, space, and matter. It reveals God as the ultimate Creator, the origin of everything that exists. This beginning lays the foundation for understanding our world and our place in it as God’s creation.
John 1:1, while echoing Genesis, introduces a deeper dimension to the ‘beginning’ of the eternal existence of Christ, the Word. This verse establishes Jesus as central to the very nature and essence of God, involved in creation and the redemption of humanity.
Together, these verses invite us to reflect on our origins and purpose. They remind us that our personal and universal story starts with God. In every new beginning and fresh start, we are encouraged to see the hand of the Creator and the Saviour, guiding, and shaping our journey.
Let’s Pray
Yahweh, I give you all my cares and concerns. I know you are my Heavenly Father who can provide me with everything I need. You know my needs before I even ask you for them. Lord thank you, for your new beginnings and unwavering provision. I trust that your peace will watch over me as I step into this season of  new beginnings, in Christ name, Amen.

God Can Lift Your Guilt And Shame

God Will Bring You Through
If you’ve done things wrong (and we all have), the forgiveness that comes from God through the blood of Jesus can lift the guilt and shame, and take the weight from your shoulders. The key to God’s forgiveness is knowing and accepting that Christ gave His life to pay the price for the things you’ve done wrong. There is no sin that God cannot forgive. God’s forgiveness is made complete by asking Christ into your life and surrendering your life to Him. Remember your sin doesn’t take away your purpose or calling.

Today, God is speaking to your heart and drawing you to Himself. He doesn’t want you to perish. God wants to give you life. He wants you to pass from death to life. He wants to take you out of Satan’s Kingdom of darkness and bring you into God’s Kingdom. The way He does that is by saying to you, ‘your sins are forgiven.’ Can you imagine what it’s like to have all your sins forgiven? To have the load taken off of your back and to be set free? Accept it today and experience God’s freedom.

Gods Promises
Claim them today;
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed” (John 8:36).
Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13).

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9). 

Let’s Pray
Yahweh, I believe that You are the Son of God. I believe that You are the only Saviour promised to me who will give me eternal life. God, I want to be set free from my sin. I don’t want to be a slave to sin any longer. Take away my guilt and shame today, cover me with Your blood, break the devil’s hold on me and remove the curse. Give me the faith to believe it is done. Christ, I receive You as my Lord and Saviour. I want to be Your child, in Christ’s Name! Amen.
