The Great Exchange Is Now Complete

Jesus not only paid the punishment for our sins, He actually became sin. He took our sin upon Himself and into His being, so that we could have God’s righteousness upon us and in our being. If we accept Jesus today, we are the righteousness of God! That means we are an extension of His virtue, approved by Him. We are in right standing with Him. It’s the great exchange.

Please don’t let sin hold you back any longer. Don’t let the enemy lie to you and make you feel guilty and condemned. First John 1:9 says that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Today, if there is anything in your life that is holding you back, confess it to God. Let Him cleanse you and make you new. Remember, He paid a great price so that you could be His righteousness. Receive it by faith and be a reflection of Him, and allow him to complete the great exchange!

“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

Lets Pray

Yahweh, thank You for cleansing me and making me new, and completing the great exchange in my life. Father, thank You for making me Your righteousness, despite my sin. God, show me if there is anything in my heart that is displeasing to You. I choose to honour You with my whole being all the days of my life. In Jesus’ name! Amen.

  1. It is so refreshing when the focus is on Christ at this point in time. All that He went through—torture, trials, insults, and final crucifixion—was aimed at our redemption. No human being, not even the apostle Peter, could come to His aid. He had to endure it alone for our sake.
We need to focus on Christ alone and stop blaming Peter for denying Christ three times. I believe there was no way Peter could identify with Him when, in fact , He was enduring the wrath of God for our awful condition.
