Life Is Not A Competition

One day I was standing at the bus stop, waiting for one of my children to return home from school. I was thinking about concerns I had over the different ways I saw competition being a part of my life. The thought came to me, "Life is not a COMPETITION, Life is about helping and inspiring others so we can each reach our POTENTIAL."

Through a series of intense conversations with a few of my good friends, I realized that much of the conflict and judgment that shows up in my relationships with them (and others) has to do with me being overly competitive with them, although I’m not usually aware of it or honest about it. I get really jealous, but often pretend that I don’t. Can you relate?
