This devotional by Pastor Ray Patrick reminds us that you have to choose to disregard your past so that it doesn’t keep you from moving forward.
You may be in a season right now where everything around you seems out of control. Maybe it’s your job. Perhaps there’s great trouble within your family. Or you’re distressed about what’s happening in our nation. When life seems to be falling apart, even the upright can get uptight.
It has been said that righteousness and loyalty go hand in hand.
When we’re caught between a rock and a hard place, we feel trapped, stuck, and tired of where we are. We don’t know what to do, or we don’t know how to legitimately do what we feel we need to do. We’re like the Israelites with Pharaoh on one side and the Red Sea on the other. Death seems certain either way.
Show me your friends and i will show you your future.
“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.”
God, Our Dwelling Place

Just a closer walk with Thee.
Grant it Jesus, is my plea.
Daily walking close to Thee,
Let it be dear Lord, let it be.
