Wisdom In Difficult Times

Life often leaves us seeking answers how to navigate a difficult decision, endure a trial, or honour God in our choices. James reminds us of a profound truth: God offers wisdom to all who seek it. He is generous and gracious, eager to guide us when we humbly ask.

But James also gives us a warning. When we approach God, we must do so with faith, trusting in His character and ability to provide. Doubting His goodness or questioning His will can leave us feeling unstable and directionless, like a wave tossed by the sea. Faith anchors us, enabling us to confidently receive God’s wisdom and walk in His ways.

Today, are you facing uncertainty? Pause and seek God’s wisdom. Trust that He hears you and will guide you in His perfect timing. Approach Him with confidence, knowing that He delights in leading His children with clarity and love.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.”  (James 1:5-8)

Let’s Pray

Yahweh, give me wisdom to make decisions that honour you in every area of my life. Father, give me steadfast faith that resists doubt and trusts in your promises. Thank for your generosity in offering wisdom to those who seek it with faith. In Christ name, Amen.
