Don't forget to give it to God is Prayer
God of the impossible,
we pray for justice, peace and reconciliation.
And when the challenges seem too many,
remind us of your resurrection power,
and the miracles of your love that happen
whenever injustice is dismantled and rebuilt with peace.
Help us to hope that the impossible can happen
and live as if it might do so today.
Amen

  • Michael Osborn As well as throughout the day as opportunities present themselves. Remember that Jesus is constantly at our side so we should always be able to talk to Him.
  • Clowie Dear father thank you for another day of toil and labour - today was truly a day of labour for me but I thank you God anyhow. Thank you for our 24 hr prayer session which we are still reflecting on Lord oh how awesome that was. Your people ask asking for prayer again. Two children have lost their lives Lord - please comfort the teacher and family members as they grieve. These things are never easy but Lord we know you have made provision. Comfort them please. Send someone to comfort where necessary. Lord I still place our prayer requests before you as the night hour approaches. We pray for your answers and for us to accept your answer whatever the outcome. Today Lord as we prayed for our families I can already see you have blessed one of our families we an awesome answer to prayer. Annie- Marie's daughter was protected by you and we give you all the glory. Remember our families Lord as we continue to lift them up to you. You know our individual needs please hear and answer as we come humbly asking for forgiveness for our sins. Bless us tonight as we go to rest. Thank you Lord for life and all the good and sometimes bad it brings to our journey. Bless us all abundantly. In Jesus name.. Amen..

  • Jacob One of the lessons in this James series had a statement that says" I have met the enermy, it is I". That convicted me and every time now a situation rises up within the fam, work or friends, The Lord takes me back to that statement. Introspection. Like the post above says, motive. It's not easy, I know, but if our characters are not perfected within the family situation, we are surely going to fall at the 1st hurdle. I think we have discussed these situations together before, we won't ever be able to resolve issues if we are unwilling to be vulnerable and open up. This week's lesson talks about the wisdom from above. If any man lacks wisdom, let him ask of God.... God can work every situation for His Glory, if we let him. If we stop applying human or earthly wisdom which is earthly, sensual and demonic. Infact, I've just read james 3 v 12-18, I think that fits perfectly in most of our fam situations. Individually, if we can let Christ work in us to a point where we can say I'm crucified with Christ, never the less I live, yet not but Christ liveth in me. Let's die to these things thru the Holy Spirit, then collectively, they will know us by our love for one another. Sorry for rumbling.
  • Jacob Happy sabbath all. I would like to share this devotion with you. Hoping you all will be bless.

Tapping into the Power of Prayer

I sought the Lord, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. … This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of al his troubles. (Psalm 34:4,6)

Throughout the Bible God makes it clear that our prayers are very important to Him. He loves for us to talk with Him, just as we would our closest friend, and promises to be there for us whenever we call. He says, "Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart" (Jeremiah 29:13).

He wants you to tell Him about your burdens, and to give Him all your cares, so that He can bring hope to your heart, peace to your soul, and strength to your life (see 1 Peter 5:7). But even when you're at a loss for words, and don't know what to pray, the Holy Spirit Himself speaks on your behalf (see Romans 8:26). Yet God is not only interested in your struggles. He wants you to talk with Him about everything, from your smallest victories to your greatest fears and all things in between.

Isn't it good to know that you have a direct line to God? That He is available to talk to you anytime, day or night? In fact, you can talk to Him right now. Tell Him how you're feeling; that you're hurting. Tell Him about your disappointment. Talk to Him about your anger and your pain. Tell Him how you love Him and need Him so. He hears your weeping, your requests, your praise, and thanksgiving. Prayer moves God. And when He moves in your life, you will feel His presence, experience His peace, and draw from His strength in ways you never thought possible! (2)

Hebrews 4:16 says, "Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need."

    Have a blessed night all.
  • James Bowman On your knees in fervent prayer each day!
  • Clowie Heavenly Wisdom

By a well-ordered life and godly conversation God's people are to demonstrate the power of the great truths which He has given them. A contrast is drawn between those who think themselves to be wise and those whom God has gifted with wisdom because they will not use their powers to hurt or destroy. A man may speak fair words, but unless his life reveals good works, his wisdom is human. Genuine wisdom is full of gentleness, mercy, and love. The worldly policy which men call wisdom is by God called foolishness.

A man shows that he has true wisdom by using the talent of speech to produce music in the souls of those who are trying to do their appointed work and who are in need of encouragement.

Psalms 34:17 - [The righteous] cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

Psalms 107:6 - Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, [and] he delivered them out of their distresses.
Keep requests for ourselves and others coming.
