Should Christians Pray the Rosary?

Dave Hunt and Tom McMahon tackle the question of whether or not it is biblical to pray the rosary. Praying the rosary is not biblical, Jesus said,

Matthew 6:7

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much of speaking.

Jesus said this immediately before He gave us the "Our Father" prayer. I believe that Jesus, knowing that some of His followers in the future would begin to recite these prayers, declared the statement in Matthew 6:7 to us as a warning.

The rosary is not a new concept invented by the "Virgin Mary". All the false religions of this world uses prayer beads, Muslims use prayer beads called the masbaha, tasbih or sibha. Hindus also use prayer beads called the japa mala. Buddhist prayer beads are called the juzu, shu zhu or seik badi and even the Baha'i faith uses prayer beads. Using prayer beads and reciting a repetitive prayer is not a new tradition. In fact, Jesus describes all those who do this as "heathen" in Matthew 6:7. Therefore, no true followers of Jesus Christ should ever pray the rosary. The Bible says,

Colossians 2:8

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Roman Catholics need to carefully examine whether or not the Marian apparitions are in fact the true Mary. If one studies the Marian apparitions, one would recognize a common trend: each time "Mary" appears she either demands a church to be built in her name, offers vague or false prophecies (some that the Roman Catholic hierarchy deliberately try to fulfill) or introduces new traditions or doctrines that are contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Paul warns us through his epistle to the Galatians,

Galatians 1:6-8

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have received, let him be accursed.

Is it truly Mary in these apparitions? Is it "an angel from heaven"? I believe it is an impostor! The Bible makes it clear that Satan and his minions can appear as angels of light and deceive many,

2 Corinthians 11:13-15

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

1 Timothy 4:1
Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.
